18”X24” Acrylic on Canvas.
During a season of uncertainty in 2025 I found that the one thing I valued most in my relationships is the truth. Honesty was painted in the thick of deciphering what was true in my life. The truth is, I felt caught between the life I thought I had, and the life I actually had. The resilience that I found in my mind during that time reminded me of a lesson I learned in Virginia… flowers can only survive the winter if they are connected to a life source. Leaning on God as my life source allowed me not only to survive heartbreak, but to thrive in it.
The only explanation for the whimsical nature of this piece is the lighthearted joy that I found when I let go of the past and all its lies to step into where I am now. :) I hope it brings you’re home all the hope that it brought mine!
